FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 11, 2003 WESTCHESTER BEACH CLOSINGS

The Westchester County Department of Health announced today that several beaches have been closed. Hudson Park beach in New Rochelle is voluntarily closing due to high coliform levels while sources are investigated. In addition, due to a just discovered sewage overflow going directly into the harbor from under U.S. Route 1, Mamaroneck Harbor Beaches will be closed until further notice.
