The Westchester County
Department of Health provides health care services to
county residents in their homes
through the Certified Home Health Agency.
Over 20,000 home health visits are made
annually to county
residents. Home health services include public health nursing, physical therapy,
occupational therapy, speech/language therapy, medical social workers and
home health
aides.
Home health services are available
24 hours a day, 7 days per week. County residents of all ages are eligible for home
health services. Under the direction of a physician and in collaboration with the
patient, family members and other caregivers, a comprehensive treatment plan is designed
to meet the patient's individual needs.
