Did you know that tooth decay is the
most common chronic disease among children?
Imagine trying to learn to read or
do math problems with a raging toothache – ouch!
To promote the importance of
protecting children’s teeth against cavities, Westchester County dentist
Dr. Richard Gruffi visited third-graders at the Rosemarie Ann Siragusa
School in Yonkers, where he showed children how to brush their teeth and
what can happen inside their mouths if they eat too many sugary drinks
and snacks and don’t brush their teeth twice a day and visit the dentist
for regular cleanings and checkups.
